Our Mission
To be recognised as the peak body for NSW’s wild harvest commercial fishers by delivering strong representation, informed advocacy, and support that ensures a thriving future for the industry and the communities it serves.

Initiatives

We exist to unite, protect, and empower NSW wild harvest fishers by:

• Advocating for long-term fishing rights and access to sustainable resources
• Strengthening the industry’s voice at all levels of government
• Promoting industry-led research and innovation
• Enhancing public understanding of the industry’s value
• Collaborating across the sector to improve outcomes for fishers and the environment
• Supporting professional development through training and education

Fishing Industry NSW Inc was formed by fishers, for fishers and together, we’re building a future where wild harvest fishing is respected, valued, and sustainable.
